I Ran Faster Than Expected! | Trafford Grand Prix 3000m Race Vlog

Programme Description This week I raced 3000m on the track at the Trafford Grand Prix as part of my build towards breaking 19 minutes for 5K by the end of the year at the age of 56. Going into the race, I was hoping for somewhere between 11:40 and 12:00, but things turned out even better than I'd expected. In this video, I take you through my complete race-day experience, from my warm-up routine and final preparations on the start line through to a lap-by-lap commentary of how the race unfolded. I explain what I was thinking during each stage of the race, how the pacing developed, and what I learned from the performance. Most importantly, I look at what this result means for my Sub-19 5K goal and whether I'm on track to achieve it before the end of the year. If you're a masters runner, enjoy race vlogs, or you're chasing your own running goals, I hope you'll enjoy coming along for the journey. If you enjoyed the video, please give it a like, subscribe to follow the Sub-19 series, and let me know in the comments what race you're training for next.
