Josh Kerr Takes Aim at the Mile World Record
Josh Kerr came to the Brooks Running team with a bold vision: to take aim at the mile world record, which has stood for over 27 years. But rather than keep his ambitions a secret or make his attempt in a controlled environment, Josh is choosing to go for the record at the London Stadium on July 18th in a highly competitive race. To break the record, Josh will need to run the mile in 222 seconds. The Brooks team has rallied behind Josh and his goal— drawing insights from his sleep patterns, nutrition needs, and unique biomechanics to help engineer a bespoke spike and speed suit, fine-tuned for the demands of such an aggressive attempt. See how the Brooks team is coming together to bring Josh’s bold vision to life.
