Shorebirds at Marina East Breakwater | Singapore Wildlife

Marina East Breakwater may not be far from Marina Grove, but it feels like a different world. Over several months, we kept returning to this stretch of coastline, watching the tides shift, the grass grow and disappear, and the birds come and go. From Little Egrets and Purple Herons to Malaysian Plovers, Kentish Plovers and Asian Openbills, each visit revealed something slightly different. Low tide uncovered a quieter world beyond the rocks: fiddler crabs, snails, algae-covered stones, and shorebirds feeding along the exposed mud. This is not just a birdwatching video. It is a quiet record of change, across tides, across seasons, and across time. Filmed in Marina East, Singapore.
