The car was bodied by Kelsh, a prominent and famous brand of the time, well-known among connoisseurs. The Fiat 514 was a mid-range car produced by FIAT from 1929 to 1932, replacing the Fiat 509. The Fiat 514 was also the first compact car ever built, measuring approximately 4 meters long. Designed by Tranquillo Zerbi, it was an immediate commercial success and was exported in large numbers to foreign countries. It was produced in three sporty versions, all with elegant finishes: the "514 S," the "514 S MM" for the Mille Miglia, and the "514 CA" for the Coppa delle Alpi. The engine was a 1438 cc, four-cylinder, side-valve inline-four with a power output of 28 hp, a four-speed transmission, and rear-wheel drive. The standard "514" reached a top speed of 80 km/h; the 514 S still had the 1438 cc engine, but with a 25% increase in power, it could exceed 100 km/h, a remarkable feat for 1930. 36,970 units were built and sold in various body styles: two- and four-door sedan, two-door spider, two-door coupé, and two- and four-door cabriolet. It was also produced in Spain by "Fiat Hispania" in a factory purchased from Hispano-Suiza, located in Guadalajara.
