After a month of planning, our adventure to the legendary base camp of Mt. Annapurna (northern side)– the same route Maurice Herzog used in 1950 – finally became a reality! This incredible trail has recently gained recognition and is now a gem for domestic tourism. Along the way, we were treated to the mesmerizing sight of the “Phutphute” waterfall and the serene Panchadham Lake, adding to the beauty of the northern side of Mt. Annapurna. The trail starts with an off-road journey up to Humkhola, and since there are no proper hotels or shelters, we had to bring all our necessary gear.
