On April 12, at an intersection in Jung-gu, Incheon, a motorcycle starting on a green light was struck by a following passenger car while attempting to avoid a bus rushing from the left that had run a red light. As a result of this accident, the motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries requiring 12 weeks of recovery; however, the bus driver who caused the accident has delayed a settlement for over two months, claiming, "It's over once I get my penalty points." He even mentioned an amount the victim had never even brought up, asking, "Do you really want 200 million won?" maintaining an unrepentant attitude.
