Upon graduation, he passed the Mahjong Rengo Tour License exam, a professional competitive mahjong organization. Won the 1998 Tour in Ginza, the 1999 Tour in Nagoya, and the 2000 Tour in Ginza. His previous activities were also recognized, and in 2001 he became the youngest ever Mahjong Union certified professional. He also worked as a mahjong school assistant while at university, and at the age of 20 he qualified as a Japan Health Mahjong Association professional instructor. After graduating, he also worked as a professional instructor in Yokohama. In Yokohama, he transformed a school that had a daily student population of 20 into one that had over 60 students in four years. The school was even broadcast on NHK's Shutoken Network, and it subsequently grew into one of the largest schools in Japan with over 80 students. To this day, he makes a living primarily from teaching mahjong classes. He also writes, creates problems, guest stars in tournaments, and has written numerous articles about winning games. ----------------------------------------
