Protecting Your Care: Medicaid & SNAP Changes and How they Impact You
Disability Rights NJ hosted a webinar "Protecting Your Care: Medicaid & SNAP Changes and How they Impact You" This free webinar is for anyone who receives Medicaid or SNAP benefits, anyone who helps support them, and anyone who cares about protecting access to care in New Jersey. This includes people with disabilities, people with mental health or substance use needs, families, caregivers, providers, advocates, and community members. Experts from the Garden State Coalition for Care provided an overview of HR1 and what changes may be coming, and what those changes could mean for your health care and services. They share simple, practical steps people can take to protect your care, and speak up for what you or those you care for need. This session was led by advocates with lived experience who understand these systems firsthand and are committed to making this information clear, respectful, and useful for everyone.
