A friend sent me an open letter written by Nick Cave quite a few years ago to MTV. I found it an interesting piece of writing. Was he right to do this? Or is he taking those award shows a bit too seriously? I know it's not new news, but these awards seem to hold the same importance still. Do they reduce music to a competitive sport? Tell me.
