Jeff Buckley & Carl Young | Backstage at Glastonbury '95 (Extended)

Jeff Buckley and his friend from their Los Angeles days, Carl Young, from the band Spearhead, were interviewed backstage by former MTV Europe VJ, Simone Angel, at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival in England. This footage appears to have been recorded on Friday, June 23, 1995; a day prior to Jeff's performance on the Pyramid Stage. Simone originally uploaded this footage (this is an extended, full screen version) to her Instagram account on March 27, 2025. Here is what she wrote: "One of my biggest career misses! I interviewed Jeff Buckley—without yet knowing who he was. The result? A jumble of meaningless festival questions. Later, Toby Amies said, "You got to interview Jeff Buckley? I’d have given my right arm for that!" So I checked out his album—and was floored. What a genius. Still, there’s a sweet innocence here—just two friends hanging out, with @carlyoungmusic1."
