REM: EXCLUSIVE early ride by invite on the new Deux-Montagnes A4 Branch + Édouard-Montpetit station

Here is video from my exclusive invitation ride aboard the newly commissioned Deux-Montagnes A4 Branch of the REM rail network. I was quite surprised to get an email last week inviting media and videographers like myself to an early ride aboard the REM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, the first day of open house. In this video, I start outside the Édouard-Montpetit REM station where the invitation was. Once inside, we go downstairs and go to the platform. We then board an exclusive REM train where we go through the Mount Royal Tunnel north in the Deux-Montagnes direction. Édouard-Montpetit Station is the deepest station in Canada and 2nd deepest in North America. The ride ends at the Sunnybrooke Station in the West Island of Montreal. Note: I did not film the elevator ride at Édouard-Montpetit because it was too crowded but I will make a video another time. The elevator ride was not even 10 seconds long and honestly not as dramatic as I thought it would be. It would have been cool if the elevator was made of glass to see the rate of movement. You certainly feel it going fast though. Correction: the Édouard-Montpetit REM Station is not the third deepest in the world as there are a few others deeper. It is indeed the deepest in Canada and second deepest in North America. This video was filmed on Saturday, November 15, 2025 starting at approximately 7:30 am EST.
