LE PROBLEME DE L'ACCORD Ré ( et pourquoi je ne l'enseigne pas comme tout le monde )
THE PROBLEM WITH THE D CHORD (and why I don't teach it like everyone else) Is the "academic" position for the D chord really the best? 🤔🎸 In this tutorial, I challenge a habit that almost all guitarists learn from their very first chords: the fingering position for the open D major chord. We've always been taught to place the middle finger on the high E string, at the bottom of the position. However, after years of teaching, I prefer to offer another way to play this chord: place the middle finger on the G string and use the index finger to press down on the high E string. Why? Simply because this position is much more consistent with other open chords (E, A, G, C...), where the middle finger is naturally the highest finger in the position. The transitions often become smoother and more logical. ⚠️ I'm not claiming the traditional position is "wrong." It works perfectly well. I'm simply explaining why, in many cases, this other position can be more practical and natural. On the agenda: 00:00 Intro 00:18 Why the academic D position isn't always the most practical. 02:28 Comparison with other open chords (E, A, G, C). 06:00 Progression #1: E - D - C - G 08:27 Progression #2: E - A - D - A 09:20 Progression #3: D - G - D - G - D - G - Cadd9 - G ("Texas") 09:55 Why students quickly adopt this new position when they try it. 12:06 Another very practical D barre chord position, ideal for alternating with Bm (example: "Karma Police"). 14:16 Conclusion: try this position and see for yourself! Feel free to tell me in the comments which position you use to play D major, and if you've tried this alternative. 👉 Subscribe to the channel: / @foojayprod-jayfoo1231 🎸 Private lessons via video call/Zoom and guitar workshops: [email protected] ❤️ Support the channel on Tipeee: https://fr.tipeee.com/chaine-youtube-...
