More than 70 students from Dhamana and nearby villages and hamlets attend the school, with many belonging to poor and labouring families. After the school’s old van stopped operating, children were being transported in an open auto-rickshaw. Many students had to travel approximately 3–5 kilometres daily on damaged roads filled with potholes and speed breakers. Heavy vehicles also regularly used the route, creating a constant risk of children falling from the auto or being involved in an accident. Rain, winter winds and extreme summer heat made the journey even more difficult. The school staff, School Management Committee and Gram Panchayat submitted a request to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Under his orders, a survey team inspected the number of students, travel distance, road conditions and the existing transport arrangement. The survey confirmed that the school urgently required a safe and reliable vehicle. Following approval of the survey report, a new school van was provided to Government Middle School Dhamana under the orders of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Along with the vehicle, arrangements were also made to cover the driver’s salary, fuel expenses and complete maintenance costs for the lifetime of the van. The new van will provide safe and free transportation to children from surrounding villages. It will reduce the financial burden on poor families, improve regular school attendance and allow students to continue their education without facing daily travel risks.
