DOCTOR YELLOW SPOTTED, Shinkansens at Gifu-Hashima

Gifu-Hashima is a Shinkansen station on the Tokaido Shinkansen. It is the only Shinkansen station in the Gifu Prefecture. Hashima opened on the 1st of October 1964 with the rest of the Tokaido Shinkansen and is currently under JR Central. Only Kodama and some Hikari services stop at Hashima and all Nozomi services skip Hashima. Meitetsu also operate just out front of the East Gate operating from the Meitetsu Hashima station on the Hashima line. Gifu-Hashima has 4 platforms, 0, 1, 2, 3 and is one of few stations in Japan to have a platform 0. The next station East (Up, towards Tōkyō) is Nagoya and the next station West (Down, towards Osaka and Hakata) is Maibara. Filmed on 15/06/2024
