Beautiful Mitsubishi lifts in Hong Kong

Location: Lippo Centre, 89 Queensway, Admiralty, Hong Kong These were the most gorgeous lifts I saw out of all the office towers I went to, interior wise. I love how they decorated the cabs with granite and mirrors, such that it looks like a seamless continuation of the lift lobbies. The fact that they tried to blend in the call buttons with the surrounding lobby walls by putting granite-faced stickers on them is also kind of cool. And even with the extensive use of granite which makes the place feel very 80s, the lifts along with the rest of the building were very well maintained and still looks great today. Best of all, the lifts have remained mostly original since day one! These are some 1980s Mitsubishi lifts with touch-sensitive buttons inside and custom call buttons outside. They're also very fast and are fun to ride, especially with how shaky they are when travelling at full speed. All passenger lift cars here come equipped with air-conditioning, which was a nice touch as it does help on hot days. The chimes and internal indicators have been replaced at some point, but as far as I can tell, the controllers are still original. I sort of wished they left the internal indicators alone, as their appearance don't quite suit the 80s look of the lift cars. Nonetheless, these are still mostly original, and I sure hope they don't remodel the cabs on these!
