Beethoven, Sonata/Sonatina in G Minor, Opus 49/1 - Historical Tempo Reconstruction - Wim Winters

Carl Czerny's list of Beethoven's works contains only 29 piano sonatas instead of today's list of 32. Together with the sonata opus 79 (which Beethoven considered to be a sonatina as well), both of the opus 49 pieces were labeled 'only' as sonatinas by his famous student. It is not without any logic: published in 1805 but composed about 10 years earlier, they are of a different universe than the 'full size' sonatas. But that doesn't make them any less enjoyable! 0:00 Andante (Quarter = 88) 6:50 Rondo (dotted quarter = 100) Tempi after Carl Czerny, read in whole beat (   • How Fast did Beethoven and Chopin really P...  ) I recorded this sonatina in april 2019 on clavichord, in 2 videos:    • Beethoven, Piano Sonata No.19, Op.49/1 (1)...      • Beethoven, Piano Sonata No.19, Op.49/1 (2)...   -- 🙋We need YOU to continue on (full) speed!
