Woodturning: Very Wet Three Corner Bowl

Today's project shows how you can dry a rough turned bowl in the microwave and how you can turn a three corner bowl. So most of the bowl blanks that I get are green and typically have a moisture content from 20 to 25 percent. They come sealed in wax or Anchor Seal and take forever to dry. So what do you do when you want a finished product without waiting months for it to dry out. There are a bunch of different methods out on the web on how to do it. I wanted to dry the microwave technique as it seems to be the fastest, but you can get mixed results from what I've seen. Try this at your own risk! To continue with my recent run of bowl shapes and finishes, I wanted to try turning a three corner bowl. I recently got a few 5" x 5" x 5" blocks of cherry. I got them with this project in mind. It was a little weird turning it without a face plate or worm screw. All in all, I'm very happy with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy this video. Please let me know if there is a project you'd like to see me make and I will do my best to do it. Thank you for all the support you have shown me and the channel!
