Season 2 of "The Mandalorian" closed out with a series of narrative curveballs that promise to make life even more difficult for it's hard-luck hero while also setting up a third spin-off series in addition to the two already announced by Lucasfilm a week ago during Disney's industry-rocking investor presentation... but it was a different payoff featuring yet another surprise appearance by a fan-favorite "Star Wars" character that became the obvious most talked-about moment. While many fans seem to have embraced the big reveal with the kind of excitement the showrunners were aiming for, others weren't so thrilled - finding it a distraction from the main characters and actual storyline of the series or worse... a capitulation to particularly nasty strains of fan-demands that have landed the "Star Wars" franchise in troubled places a few times before.
