Was it just a health problem or would that place turn into a scene from CR1M'3? And that wouldn't be the only question to be clarified. Others would quickly arise, especially when her brother-in-law, Lucas Porto, was arrested as the main suspect. What was the relationship between Mariana and her sister's husband? What really happened? Lucas Leite Ribeiro Porto, her brother-in-law at the time, was treated as the main suspect and, later, indicted by the CR1M3S of 3STU'PR.0 and H-0M1CÍD1'0 of Mariana, with aggravating circumstances, such as 4sfix1'a, a resource that made it difficult for the victim to defend herself, and the attempt to hide evidence from 3STU'PR.0. The case was also classified as f3m1nicidi-0. The trial took place between June and July 2021, and Lucas Porto was sentenced to 39 years in prison by the CR1M3. However, the 2nd Chamber of the TJMA, Cr1min4l, decided to reduce his sentence to 34 years and 8 months of imprisonment in a closed regime. In an appeal, Lucas Porto's defense alleged several irregularities in the process, including the illegality of the second interrogation, the loss of evidence from the monitoring circuit at the CR1M3 location, the lack of photographic records of the victim's body, and other issues related to the evidence. The rapporteur of the appeal, Judge José Luiz Almeida, rejected all of the defense's allegations, highlighting that the defendant was heard voluntarily in his second interrogation and that there were no specific rules on the preservation of evidence at the time of the events. #juri #juripopular #tribunaldojuri #resenhadojuri
