This video tells the story of my trip down to Gyeongju to prepare for the opening of the Yahwa Solo Drinking Bar's directly managed branch on Hwangnidan-gil. Although I had researched commercial areas and properties online beforehand, I realized that I ultimately had to inspect the location with my own eyes to verify the market conditions. I arrived in Gyeongju late at night to tour the Hwangnidan-gil commercial district, and the following day, I checked the actual properties one by one with a real estate agent. The Gyeongju Hwangnidan-gil branch is being managed by a friend who has grown with us since the early days of the store, having previously worked as the manager at the Suwon Station Branch No. 2. This Gyeongju branch is small yet charming, a place where anyone can comfortably drop by. I plan to create a "family-like" atmosphere at Yahwa where we can naturally bond with our customers. However, finding a good location was more difficult than I expected. From relationships with nearby solo drinking bars to monthly rent, key money, store size, traffic flow, staffing, and most importantly, the issue of water leakage that I had to verify. What I have learned from operating various locations is that it is far more important to clearly resolve potential risks before signing a contract than to save a few tens of thousands of won in rent. Ultimately, the building owner decided to resolve the water leakage issue first, and then proceed with the contract. From the beginning to the completion of Yahwa Gyeongju Hwangridan-gil Branch.
