I Opened My Kiln... and This Clutchwing Cup Stole my Heart

This kiln opening was only a small firing... but it might contain some of my favourite dragons I've ever made. Inside this kiln you'll meet brand new Blossom Dragons, several Dragonlings, another Clutchwing Cup, experimental moon mugs, tankards and a few glaze tests that didn't quite go to plan. Not every firing is perfect—and I always like sharing both the successes and the disappointments. Sometimes the unexpected pieces end up teaching us the most. This will also be my last kiln opening for a little while as I disappear into a huge making cycle to prepare for the Balingup Medieval Carnivale. I'll still be busy in the studio every day creating dragons, mugs and new magical pieces—I just won't have another kiln to open for a few weeks! Thank you so much for being part of this little creative community. ❤️ 🐉 Join the Dragon Hatchery newsletter for early access to new dragons: https://preview.mailerlite.io/forms/2... 🌿 Website: www.shoeboxstudio.com.au 📷 Instagram: www.instagram.com/janes_shoebox_studio ☕ If you'd like to support the studio: buymeacoffee.com/SnEPjhG42A Thanks for watching, and I hope you find a way to get some creativity into your day. 💜 Chapters 00:00 Welcome back! 00:58 Why this will be my last kiln opening for a while 03:20 Dragonlings revealed 08:40 The new Clutchwing Cup ❤️ 15:20 Blossom Dragons 31:15 Bottom shelf 32:00 Experimental moon mugs 38:50 Tankards & glaze tests 45:10 Final Blossom Dragon 48:15 Final Clutchwing reveal 51:30 Wrapping up
