Gabriel Rolón - Las adicciones físicas y psíquicas

Physical and Mental Addictions Gabriel Rolón is a psychoanalyst, musician, and writer. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1961. He studied at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Buenos Aires. He graduated and specialized in psychoanalysis, a discipline he promotes both through his academic work and his intense media presence. He was a speaker at the World Congress of Psychoanalysis in Mexico City; he teaches psychoanalytic training sessions at local and international universities. Historias de diván (2007), his first book based on psychoanalysis, was an unusual bestseller in Argentina and was published in Germany, Spain, Uruguay, Bulgaria, Mexico, and Brazil. This phenomenon was repeated with his second book, Palabras cruzadas (Crosswords), and with the publication of Los padecientes (The Patients), his first novel, which was translated into French, Portuguese, and Italian, and adapted into a film. The cases presented in his works are used to study psychoanalytic clinics at universities in Argentina, Paraguay, Spain, and Brazil.
