Russia has recorded a decline in its gold reserves for the sixth consecutive month. The situation has reached a point where the total value of its gold holdings has dropped below $300 billion. According to the latest data from the Central Bank of Russia, the total value of the country's gold reserves fell to $298.99 billion by the end of June—marking the first time this figure has dipped below the $300 billion mark. It is not just gold; Russia's total foreign currency and reserve assets have also declined. By the end of May, Russia's total official reserves stood at $747.4 billion**, but by the end of June, they had fallen to $720.4 billion.
