Veterans Oral History - Robert Harrold May 29, 2025
Robert Harrold joined the Army in 1955. After basic, he was sent to the Morse Code radio school at Fort Dix, N.J.; upon completion of the course, he was sent to Uijeonbu, South Korea, as part of the 51st Signal Battalion, I Corps. Harrold, who became team chief of his radio network, found himself within 15 miles of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), and recalled the situation in the days following the Korean War.
