Federal deputy and pre-candidate for the Senate in São Paulo, Ricardo Salles (Novo), defended, this Tuesday (7), that André do Prado (PL) should give up the race for a seat in the Upper House. In an interview with the program Poder Expresso, Salles stated that the state deputy does not represent the right and would be “distorting” the votes of the political field in the state. “André do Prado doesn't have the substance to be a senator. He was put forward as a Senate candidate as a consolation prize for not being accepted as Tarcísio's vice-governor candidate. If there is someone who is doing poorly in the polls, doesn't have the necessary qualities, doesn't effectively represent the right and is spoiling, is distorting the right-wing vote, [it's] André do Prado,” he stated.
