《关山月》Guqin Cover｜Silk String Ancient Chinese Music – Moon Over Tianshan

This is a guqin interpretation of the ancient Chinese poem 《关山月》 by Li Bai. “明月出天山，苍茫云海间” A bright moon rises above the Tianshan Mountains, floating in vast seas of cloud and sky. This performance features silk-string guqin (丝弦古琴) — an older, more archaic and authentic sound of the guqin tradition. Compared with modern strings, silk strings carry a warmer, more rustic, and historically closer tone, evoking the sound world of ancient China. Through this silk-string performance, the vast frontier landscapes are translated into sound — moonlight, wind, mountains, and silence all emerge between seven ancient strings.
