I Took a Campervan to Play 6 Golf Courses in 2 Days! | Course 72: Dipton Golf Club

The South Island golf road trip begins! I’m on a mission to play every golf course in New Zealand, and this is Course 72, Dipton Golf Club, a quiet and hilly 9-hole course in Southland, about 1 hour 30 from Queenstown. This is Episode 1 of a 6-part series where I take off around the South Island in a campervan, attempting to play 6 golf courses in 2 days. The goal is simple: play 9 holes at each course and try to break 30 every time. There’s just one problem… I’ve never driven a campervan before. I’ve never stayed in one either. And at 6ft 6, this could be just as much a battle with the van as it is with the golf course. First up is Dipton Golf Club, a cool rural 9-hole course with plenty of hills, a peaceful setting, and a proper country golf feel. It’s known as one of the more testing 9-hole courses in Southland, with the hills making it a decent walk and a fun challenge. There are also great views across the Oreti Plains from the higher parts of the course. Can I get the South Island series off to a good start and break 30 at Dipton?
