This week, I’m returning to that track and plug-in chain to explore one addition worthy of further explanation; using a High-Pass Internal filter slope at the Compression stage. Bass frequencies tend to impact dynamic processors the most, meaning that the impactful deep hits in your track - whether they’re Kick Drums or deep Trailer slams - often suck the life out of a master, rather than provide the power and punch we’re looking for.
