I had always wanted to try camping on snow, and finally decided to do so at Takamiishi in the Yatsugatake Mountains. It was a weekend during a cold wave, and the temperature dropped to a whopping -20°C. It was a completely new experience camping in the freezing cold. The weather was relatively good, and we were blessed with beautiful views of the mountains, sunsets, sunrises, and starry skies, making it a truly memorable hike.
