Vitamin B6 inhibits aldosterone, a hormone that causes the body to retain fluid during the premenstrual phase, followed by tryptophan, helping to reduce irritability and feelings of sadness. 6. During menstruation, it helps replenish iron, as it is rich in this mineral. 7. This same mineral is very important during pregnancy, helping with the healthy development of the fetus and preventing anemia. HA! It helps with male fertility - it is a good source of selenium, vitamin C, folic acid, and vitamin E, important agents in sperm formation. 9. It helps control blood sugar levels, having a low glycemic index due to the quality of its fiber.
