Penn Master Mariner Repair

Repairing a broken side plate on a Penn Master Mariner using ProPaste epoxy normally used for building fishing rods. Watch as I show how I repaired this reel with ProPaste epoxy. I wasn’t quite confident that this would work, but after curing, the reel was able to hold 10lb without noticeable flex in the side plate where the repair was made. Hopefully it will hold a fish. This was a fun attempt to fix a friends reel-mostly to see if this is an option for a true reel repair. Just the price for service-any necesary parts like bearings and drag washers would be the additional cost of the parts. I charge $10-20 for rod guide repair (per guide and not counting the price of the guide) depending on guide size.
