Nowadays, a smartphone with internet access. 35-40 liter backpack. Trekking footwear. I use Salomon boots, although I think sneakers are ideal, as long as they are water-resistant and have good soles. Don't wear new shoes on the Camino. Breathable, smooth, blister-resistant socks.
