In this video I continue my journey into Bad Omens by reacting to Dethrone for the first time. Going into this, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel because I don’t usually gravitate toward extremely heavy music. But this… This is exactly the kind of heavy music I enjoy. The tuning, the production, the energy, and especially Noah’s vocals all came together perfectly. Everything felt intentional and understandable, which made the emotion behind the song hit even harder. Before listening, I also learned about Noah’s childhood car accident and the tragic loss of his father. While I don’t know whether that experience directly inspired this song, having that context made me hear the raw emotion in a completely different way and added another layer to my reaction. This reaction proved to me that Bad Omens will continue to surprise me with their versatility and raw talent in general I’m excited to keep diving deeper into their catalog.
