This hotel isn’t just bricks and mortar — it’s a piece of local history. Once frequented by the Queen Mother, John Lennon, and other notable figures, the Corbett Arms was a bustling Georgian landmark that drew visitors from across the UK. But after the original owners passed away, the hotel was left to their son Ryan, who had learning difficulties. Unable to maintain the property, it slowly fell into decay — though what makes this story even more haunting is that Ryan continued to live there, silently and unnoticed. Locals believed the hotel was empty… but every so often, a light would flick on in a different room. Now, despite its listed status, the Corbett Arms has been declared a public safety hazard, and demolition has been approved. This video revisits my 2022 exploration of the building — one of the last detailed looks inside before it's lost forever.
