A luxury loft in an industrial hall equipped with provocative details and international flair. It is one of several lofts in the "Quartier S67" in the Neuwied industrial estate. What looks like an industrial hall at first glance offers living and working space for a total of 16 parties. The owner of the house: interior designer Lars Jensen. He started building his vision as a young man. Now the trained central heating and ventilation engineer has been giving free rein to his creativity and creative power on 1,600 square metres for over 20 years. Lars has changed his lofts - depending on his life situation. For a few years now, he has been living with his wife in a homely flat at the back of the industrial hall. A flat in which he plays with provocative accessories and international flair in the interior design. Provocative details - for him, these include Star Wars photographs with lots of naked skin or a candle in the shape of a middle finger. International flair is created in the entrance area, which resembles a hotel lobby, in the kitchen with an Italian espresso bar and lobster in a glass box from Paris, or in the bedroom with a floating fireplace. Another highlight of the flat: the code-secured "panic room", actually a dressing room and display room for designer bags. Lars doesn't just create his interior design ideas in his head, he does it himself. This is how he fulfils special wishes, such as the free-standing 100-year-old bathtub that can be filled from below with a water connection in the floor. The interior designer also furnished the other lofts in "Quartier S67" according to his ideas. In the "Aviators Loft", everything is aviation-themed - from a passenger staircase connecting the floors to original aircraft luggage racks on the wall. In the "Ivory Loft", the noble furnishings are underlined by an old Corvette standing in the middle of the living room - fitting for the tenant who restores vintage cars in the quarter. Those who live and work in the quarter can use the "Agora" - a roof terrace on Lars' garage. Right next door, also for everyone to use: the sauna in a converted container. Lars has covered it with golden logos of a designer brand - for that certain "luxury effect". Lars has fulfilled a dream with his loft quarter. Even though the interior designer likes to change, design and optimise. One thing should remain the same: He wants to call the quarter his home for a very long time to come.
