Sometimes people go so far as to say it was an era of ‘polite’ warfare, where armies would meet at predetermined times, in predetermined locations, and even take turns firing back and forth! After all, we aren’t ghastly barbarians, are we? Well, while it’s an interesting idea, unfortunately it’s also a total fabrication. Or at least, mostly so… Also hey, if you happen to read this description, let’s mess with the people who don’t!
