Welcome back to Rosemaling with Art of Lise and the world of UFO's. No not that kind of UFO, but the unfinished object UFO's that you find in your studio. In this video I am finishing up a canvas that I actually began five years ago in a previous video. I have stared at it long enough...it needs to get done! LOL I hope you all enjoy the process of pulling these detail strokes together to finish this fun piece. Brushfor the video are - Kingart original gold 9375 10/0 mid-length liner. Paint Color - Warm White and Pearl White (1:1) - JoSonja artist's colours by Chroma inc. Medium mix - 1:1:1 - Clear Glaze Medium, Flow Medium, Retarder Medium (products- JoSonja by Chroma Inc.) Rosemaling is the traditional painted decorative folk art from Norway that began in the 1600's. Because of Norway's mountainous terrain and hundreds of valleys, the people of Norway had many dialects, native costume, traditions, ext. Norway also had a wealth of artisan traditions to draw from dating from the Viking era. When decorative painting styles reached Norway in the 1600's, it went into all this different areas and created over 15 different styles of Rosemaling, hence making it one of the most interesting folk arts to learn about and to paint.
