Cotswold Walk - Chalford Hill and Old Neighbourhood
Another mini-exploration of the old industries of the Golden Valley near Stroud. We start and finish by Belvedere Mill, now used by a variety of small businesses. Then up into Upper Chalford and Old Neighbourhood, along towards Brimscombe and down Blackness and back along the disused Thames and Severn Canal. The valley here has all the forms of transport: road, river, railway and canal, we cross the railway by St Mary's Crossing, which still has the old signal box and crossing keepers cottage.
