The Friendly Line to Burnham - Somerset & Dorset Railway (1080p)
Part of the BBC West series, “The Seaside Trains” and which features the old West Country Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway line between Evercreech Junction and Burnham on Sea. In 1963, English Poet, Writer and Broadcaster John Betjeman took the train from Evercreech Junction to Burnham-on-Sea and in this nostalgic 1988 film, Railway enthusiast Mike Arlett and former driver Rodney Scovell retrace Betjeman's journey on this now long-closed line. This film features original historic rail footage including commentary by former S&D employees along the old railway route.
