No matter how many times I adjusted it, I couldn't get the carburetor settings right. It kept sucking in secondary air. The root cause has finally been revealed. This time, we precisely measured and examined the contact surface between the intake manifold and insulator of an Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ. During the restoration process, there were traces of a mechanic attempting to smooth the surface by filing it. However, because it was done by hand, the surface, which should have been flat due to milling, was twisted, resulting in a height difference and tilt (error) of 0.2mm to a maximum of 0.8mm between each cylinder. It's no wonder that air was being sucked in through the gaps, no matter how tightly the carburetor bolted on. "Give me a break!"
