2 Maple Logs, 2 Hidden Nails & Only ONE Timber! 6x6x12 Maple Beam on the Frontier Sawmill

Two maple logs. One goal: produce a 6x6x12 maple timber for a customer. What could possibly go wrong? In this video, I put the Frontier OS27 Sawmill to work milling a pair of maple logs into a large timber. Everything was going smoothly until I discovered two hidden nails buried inside the logs. Hidden metal is one of the biggest challenges sawmill owners face, and it can quickly turn a good log into a bad day. Despite the setbacks, I kept milling and was able to salvage enough good wood to complete the project and produce the timber. Follow along as I break down the logs, work around the defects, and show the process of turning rough maple logs into a finished 6x6x12 beam.
