I Visited a Russian Town Next to the EU | What It’s Like

This town is just a few kilometers from the EU border. But it’s still Russia. I went to Pechory, a small town in the Pskov region right next to Estonia, to see what life actually looks like here. Not in Moscow or Saint Petersburg — but on the edge of the country. Some people say places like this feel almost like Europe. Others say it’s a completely different world. So I decided to see it for myself. In this video, I walk through the town, visit one of the oldest monasteries in Russia, and try to understand what everyday life looks like here — so close to the EU, yet still inside Russia. Pechory is located just a few kilometers from the Estonian border. The town is known for the Pskovo-Pechersky Monastery, which has been active for more than 500 years — even during the Soviet era.
