You can score a JMT permit from Yosemite National Park WITHOUT entering the permit lottery! Each Friday at 9am PST, any permits that were not claimed from the week prior's lottery are released on recreation.gov. It is incredibly competitive especially during peak months like July and August! Watch this tutorial to get the best chances at securing one.
