REVACHOL [ AMBIENT MODULAR ] : Plaits // Marbles // Magneto

Minimalist generative Ambient patch recorded directly to 1/2" tape. Dedicated to the amazing game 'Disco Elysium' that I'm currently playing I realized after recording the video footage for the initial take that I had been sitting blocking the view of the camera - so, here's the tape playback and the case with the patch (looking pretty). I am still getting the grips of my Mutable Instruments Marbles module. For this patch, I programmed my own custom scale (minor but with six notes) and tuned Plaits a fifth above Rings - this enabled me to 'mult' the pitch output generated from one channel on Marbles and feed both modules, following identical CV information, resulting in these pluck like chords. Everything was recorded directly to two channels on the Fostex B-16 reel to reel tape machine.
