Ap Verheggen Produces Water with Solar-Powered SunGlaciers – Brought to you by Hyundai
In the thirty-second instalment of ART+TECHNOLOGY, we meet Ap Verheggen. This Dutch visual artist, filmmaker and cultural ambassador is fascinated by nature - particularly the elements. Addressing his desire to make a difference with art, Ap created SunGlacier; a company that innovates solar-powered sculptures to produce water out of thin air. One of SunGlacier’s projects is The Desert Twins. Inspired by Moon Landers, the structure is an energy unit that draws power from solar panels - operating like a modern day water well. Watch as Ap takes us on a journey of design, science and art as we join him in beautiful Amsterdam. Art+Technology is brought to you by Bloomberg Media Studios and Hyundai.
