Yin Yoga for Cyclists

Yin Yoga is a slower paced style of yoga, mainly supported by the floor and consists of long held stretches, targeting the myofascia of the body. The myofascia is an inter-connective web, a bit like clingfilm which covers and layers over every muscle fibre of the body. It is denser than muscles and can become fibrous and adhesive. The yin practice targets this organ, to allow for great range of movement and unblocking of energetic pathways. This yin practice is for cyclists, targeting the back and front of the thighs, the hamstrings and quadriceps as well as the lateral line of the body. It works on releasing energy blockages and repleting the energy or qi of the channels and organs of the Spleen and Stomach and Kidney and Bladder in Chinese Medicine.
