A major storm will develop late this week bringing heavy snow from the Central Plains to the Mississippi Valley Great Lakes and parts of the Ohio Valley. It will also bring heavy rain and wind to the East with some snow at the onset as well as on the backside. Bitter cold air behind this system spreads across the Plains and eventually the eastern half of the US as well as the Deep South.
