日本生まれの双子パンダ 桃浜・桜浜の現在 行動比較研究2026|成都で続く保護研究と野生適応観察 行動学から読み解くジャイアントパンダの環境利用 保護繁殖と環境エンリッチメント観察 #パンダ
This documentary presents the latest 2026 footage of the Japan-born twin giant pandas Tou Hin and Qiu Bin, who were born and raised at Adventure World in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. The program documents ongoing conservation research and behavioral observation at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China. Born on December 2, 2014, Tou Hin and Qiu Bin were watched closely by many visitors throughout their development in Japan. Later, as part of an international cooperative conservation program, the twins were transferred to China, where they now live in the expansive naturalistic environments of Chengdu. The outdoor habitats at the Chengdu Research Base are designed to recreate conditions similar to those found in the wild, featuring bamboo forests, uneven terrain, grassy areas, and diverse environmental stimuli. Tou Hin is frequently observed moving slowly while feeding on bamboo, maintaining a lifestyle rhythm that minimizes unnecessary energy expenditure. This behavior reflects the unique metabolic strategy of giant pandas, which survive on nutritionally limited bamboo despite belonging biologically to the order Carnivora. From the perspective of conservation biology, such feeding efficiency and energy management are important subjects of long-term study. In contrast, Qiu Bin demonstrates a high frequency of exploratory behaviors, including climbing elevated structures, moving through varied terrain, and selecting feeding locations. These sequences of climbing, searching, and choosing are not simply playful movement patterns, but are closely related to environmental cognition and spatial awareness. Observations of Qiu Bin carefully selecting bamboo species and inspecting leaf conditions before feeding also reveal differences in individual decision-making processes and behavioral characteristics. This documentary examines how giant pandas raised in Japan adapt to the Chinese environment and how they contribute to ongoing conservation research. Through the perspectives of ethology, ecology, and breeding science, the program explores the importance of behavioral data collected through international collaborative research. These accumulated findings are expected to contribute not only to improvements in captive habitat design, but also to future wild reintroduction studies. Please enjoy this observational record as an educational documentary aimed at scientifically understanding the giant panda, one of the world’s most closely protected rare species. #zoo #animaldocumentary #giantpanda
