Rocky Fork SP: Veronica & Raiden hike Whitehouse Cliffs while Justin attends a Fly-Fishing workshop!

This adventure at Lamar Alexander Rocky Fork State Park looked a little different than usual—and it turned into one of our favorite days yet. We split up for the day, each chasing a different kind of mountain experience. Veronica and Raiden took on the White House Cliffs Trail, a short but intense 1-mile climb gaining 930 feet in elevation. This trail doesn’t mess around—steep, rugged, and straight up—but the reward at the top is worth every step. Standing on Whitehouse Knob at 3,440 feet with those mountain views (and doing it with a baby!) made it even more special. Meanwhile, Justin slowed things down and joined a fly fishing workshop led by Ranger Cory Franklin. Learning the art of casting, reading the water, and soaking in the peaceful side of the park paid off—he even landed a rainbow trout! Two completely different adventures, one incredible place.
