Follow along to make this irresistible sweet treat and enjoy a slice of heaven! ✨Ingredients •500g Kunafa (kataifi) dough (shredded phyllo dough) •Pour 1 cup (200g) melted Butter or Ghee •60g powdered Sugar For Creamy Filling •600ml (2 1/2) Milk •20g (2tbsp) Semolina •40g (2 1/2) Cornstarch •200ml (1 cup) heavy cream •3tbsp Sugar •1 tsp Vanilla essence or rose water (optional) For Sugar Syrup •480ml (2cups) Water •400g (2cups) Sugar •Half a Lemon juice •1 tbsp Rose water or Orange blossom water (optional) •crushed pistachios 📌The ideal pan size for Kunafa depends on the quantity you’re making. For this recipe, I used a 9-inch round pan, but feel free to adjust based on your preference. A smaller pan will result in a thicker Kunafa, while a larger pan will make it thinner and crispier! Before preparing Kunafa please consider the following tips 💫Tips •Use Unsalted Butter For better control of the sweetness and flavor. •Let the Kunafa Rest After pouring the syrup, let it rest for a few minutes to absorb the sweetness and get that perfect texture. •Use Fresh Dough Fresh Kunafa dough works best for that crispy texture, but frozen dough is fine too if you don’t have access to fresh. •Keep an Eye on the Baking Time Every oven is different, so keep an eye on the Kunafa to avoid burning.
